Kern doel van die pos:

Gradering en klassifisering van wol wat ontvang en prosesseer word volgens AWEX Standaarde sodat die beste pryse verkry word tydens veilings vir die kliënte asook die Maatskappy.

Minimum Vereistes:

• Tersiêre kwalifikasie in Landbou (Spesifiek in Kleinvee / Vesel / hanteer) ;
• 3 jaar toepaslike ondervinding met tipering en waardering van wol tipes;
• Geldige rybewys.

Vaardighede:

• Goeie kommunikasie- en taalvaardighede in Afrikaans en Engels;
• Rekenaarvaardig (MS Office);
• Syfervaardig;
• Goeie organisasie vermoë;
• Goeie tydbestuur;
• Menseverhoudinge; Arbeid, Produsente en Kopers
• Gemotiveerd wees en kan ander motiveer.

Verantwoordelikhede:

• Gradeer en klassifiseer wol deur subjektiewe meting (Wolwaardering);
• Personeelbestuur;
• Effektiewe handhawing en kontrolering van administrasie;
• Vaslê van “one-ups” voor sperdatum van veiling;
• Bemarking van wol by veiling.
• Lot van bale op die OM vloer soos wat dit op veiling aangebied moet word.
• Kliente diens en tegniese navrae.
  

Main purpose of the position:

Grading and classification of wool received and processed according to AWEX Standards so that the best prices are obtained during auctions for the customers as well as the Company.

Minimum Requirements:             

• Tertiary qualification in Agriculture (specifically Small Livestock / Fibre / Handling);;
• 3 years relevant experience;
• Valid driving license.

Skills:

• Sound communication and language skills in Afrikaans and English;
• Computer literate (MS Office);
• Good organisational ability;
• Good numerical ability;
• Good time management skills;
• Interpersonal skills – Labour, Producers and Buyers;
• Self-motivated and able to motivate others.

Responsibilities:

• Grade and classify wool through subjective measurement (Wool valuation);
• Staff management;
• Effective maintenance and control of administration;
• Capturing of “one-ups” before auction closing deadlines;
• Marketing of wool at auction;
• Lotting of bales on the OM floor as they are to be presented at auction;
• Customer service and technical enquiries.
